These terms govern your use of the Prosto App app (“the app”, “we”). By installing or using the app, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

1. What Prosto App is

Prosto App is a media organiser: a catalog of movies and series with descriptions, ratings and official trailers, and a client for your own media server.

We are not a streaming service. We don’t store, provide or broadcast movies, series or TV channels, don’t give access to them and don’t suggest where to get them. Any video you watch in the app comes from a source that you connected.

2. Your account

Accounts are created on the web. On a device, you sign in with a code or with your username and password.
You’re responsible for keeping your password safe and for anything done under your account.
You can sign out, remove a device under “My devices” or delete your account at any time — see the Privacy Policy.
An account is needed to sync your watchlist, ratings and history, for profiles and to connect a media server. The catalog and trailers work without one.

3. Your content sources

By connecting your own media server, you confirm that you have the rights to the content stored on it and to play it.
You are responsible for the lawfulness of that content. We have no access to your files.
We don’t provide channel lists, playlists or links to sources, and we don’t offer support for finding them.

4. Acceptable use

You may not: use the app to distribute content unlawfully; bypass technical limitations of the app or of the services it works with; automatically download our data in volumes that disrupt the service; or present the app as your own product.

5. Third-party data

Metadata (descriptions, posters, ratings) comes from TMDB and belongs to its respective rights holders. We use it under the TMDB license.
Trailers play in YouTube’s official player. While watching, YouTube’s and Google’s terms and privacy policy apply.

6. The service is provided “as is”

We work to keep the app running smoothly, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted operation, freedom from errors or fitness for a particular purpose. We aren’t responsible for your own server being unavailable, for data loss on it, or for the operation of third-party services.

7. Changes and termination

We may change the app, add or remove features, or stop supporting it. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. You can stop using the app at any time by deleting your account and the app.

8. Changes to these terms

Updated versions are published on this page with a new date. Continuing to use the app means you accept the updated version.
